Bringing People Together Through Data

Welcome!

Evan Reese Data Guru here, taking you on a journey through all things data and software related. I want to thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my blog and portfolio. While this is a site to showcase my work, I hope that together we will build a community to advance Architectural and Engineering Disciplines within Information Technology. When looking over the site not everything may catch your interest, but for the things that do you can check out the code that supports a lot of my work here.

Who is Evan Reese?

Data Management Leader

I label myself a professional enthusiastically leveraging data to transform our interactions with the world. Within IT my focus remains Data Centric, but I approach my solutions holistically. As a result I have experience in Data Management, DevOps, and Full Stack development. Further, my long term goal is to significantly impact the Data Management and Information Technology professions. I strive to become a household name for Data Management, and hope someday to be ranked alongside Inmon, Linstedt, Silverston, and Kimball.

Why Make a Blog?

This is mostly due to a large volume of ideas and rabbit holes I chase too far, so I figured why not share them with the community. This also has the added benefit of hopefully keeping me on track through my various projects.

Data Driven Innovation

This is my personal mantra, and what I strive to deliver in all my work. Data Driven Innovation is not a magic solution to all problems, nor is it a complicated framework. Data Driven Innovation is a simply a phrase to encapsulate my desire to leverage data to change the world. Today’s omnipresent data has resulted in bar charts of sales figures no longer solving the needs of the business, and I want to help shape the future of information and its use.
